Amazon Fire - Rise Vision Error Msg

We use Rise Vision with the Amazon Firebox.  Most of the TVs we use give us no issues running the program.  However, one TV often gives us an error message when it is turned on:  Amazon Appstore: unknown error.  An error occurred.  Please download this app again from the Amazon Appstore.  (The presentation plays in the background the whole time this message is displayed.)  We don't have to re-download the app; we just have to hit OK and restart the app.  Any ideas on why this is happening and what we can do to prevent it from happening again?  Thanks in advance.

I have not seen this before but a few things to do is clear cache on the AppStore itself, check date and time settings, and if all else fails factory reset. The first two should fix it but it could be an Amazon corruption which happens. To clear cache go to settings , applications, manage installed apps and then find AppStore. There should be clear cache on that. Also you might check you account on the device to be sure the password is correct. That's about all I could think of. Hopefully one of those work.

Thank you for your prompt reply.  I cleared the cache and checked the date settings today.  Hopefully that will work.  It's an intermittent problem, so I may not see the problem again for a couple of weeks if it didn't work.

Yea it looks to be an Amazon related issue and not the app. If all else fails I would deffinately reset to factory. I had to do that on one recently because it had a weird issue after an Amazon update. Anyway keep me posted on this so I know if the solution worked.

Well, that didn't work.  I'll try doing a factory reset tomorrow.
Thanks.

William, I reinstalled the app, and at this point everything seems to be working. Hopefully it won't happen again, but if it does I'll do the factory reset.  Thanks for your help.

I have one more question.  On all four of our TVs we get a black flash occasionally when the Rise Vision app is running.  Have you heard of this problem before, and do you have any suggestions to fix it?  It doesn't happen when we're doing something else on the TVs.

This could be one of the widgets or gadgets doing that. You might need to check the on the transitions between items in a placeholder. Sometimes fade or none causes those blinking. If you find which one i think i have a css fix to add to the presentation.
