Adding images to image folder widget causes presentation to crash

I have been using the Image Folder Widget on a monitor running Rise Vision. This week, every time I add a new image to the folder the presentation stops and the screen goes white when the system updates the presentation. I've ameliorated this by deleting the folder and uploading a new file folder and renaming each of the images inside the folder. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue and/or if there is a more facile workaround?

Nicky,

What operating system is your media player using? Are you using the Chrome App player? I have not been able to replicate this issue.

Justin,

Thanks for responding. Yes. We're using the Chrome App player. The widget has been working fine for the past 2 months, it's a recent problem that has arisen in the past two weeks.

Thanks,

Nicky

Nicky,

I would like to confirm the issue you're seeing so I can try to replicate.

  1. You have a presentation with the Image Folder Widget
  2. You upload a new image to your image folder
  3. The display restarts the presentation
Is this correct?

Blake,

Thank you for responding. This is what happens:
1. I have a presentation with the Image Folder Widget
2. I upload a new image to my folder
3. The display turns white and remains blank

Thanks,

Nicky

Hi Nicky, are you still experiencing this issue or were you able to resolve it?

I created a different naming convention for the images, and that seems to have resolved things. Thanks!
