"a network error caused the media download to fail part-way" I am getting this error message randomly during the day during playback. Any advice on how to fix this?

I need to add to this, I'm using the rise vision media player and using files stored on the rise vision server in web3 format.

Hi there Edwin,

Can I ask what you are using Web3 files for? Is this in a specific Widget? Or is this custom HTML in your Presentation?

I am using the video player built into rise vision and the storage. I'm running the presentation on a windows 10 machine. In the past I was told that the web3 files were recommend over mp4 files for size, download and reliability  with risevison. Is that not the case?

Edwin,

Ah, thanks for that clarification. It's actually not Web3, but WebM files. More info on supported file types for the Video Widget can be found here, including links to some good converters.

Let me know if that helps!

No worries Edwin,

Are you still having issues with your WebM files? It may be worthwhile to run them through the mentioned "Adapter" converter in that article to see if that fixes whatever issue there may be with them.

Thanks!
