4K resolution display not detecting

I have an Asus Chromebox-M004U (2GB) connected to a 4K (3840x2160) resolution TV and I cannot get the resolution to detect 3840x2160 resolution. It will only detect and display at 1920x1080 resolution whatever I try. I can successfully run 4K resolution on the chromebox but not through the Risevision player.

The Presentation and Display are set at 3840x2160 resolution.

To me it looks like the image quality is at 4K but just at HD scale?

Has anyone had success running this Asus Chromebox at 4k resolution?

Hi Matt,

I don't have a 4k screen to test on at the moment, but I wonder if you would mind trying something out? Are you running Rise Player in kiosk mode? If so, could you try running it while logged into the ChromeOS desktop? Let me know what it looks like from there.

On the displays.risevision.com app, I'm seeing that this display is only being recognized as 1920x1080, which is strange. I have a colleague that has run 4k content on a chromebox before. He mentioned that it wasn't the best performance, but it did work.

I have run Rise Player in both kiosk mode and ChromeOS desktop and still only have 1920x1080 being detected?

Just to confirm, is the monitor capable of going to that resolution?

Also, just so you are 100% aware, we have put further development of the Rise Vision Chrome Application Player on hold due to issues we have had with providing a reliable service with Chrome Applications, so please be advised that this is not our recommended solution at this time.

I'm only run 1920x1080 on my Chromebit.
I have access to a 4k television but nothing to drive it with.  Time for some upgrades!

Good luck!
