In schedules, I have two presentations scheduled for one player.
If I make the first presentation have an "end date" of yesterday, it will not show....this is correct. And it automatically Un-checks the play "always" setting.
However, when I go back and simply check play "always", it still doesn't play. It is still giving priority to the end-date setting in the next menu.
I would think play "always" would take priority over any settings.

Schedule settings take priority over "Always" setting. -

Alex,
I just tried this right now and it worked properly for me. I know I have forgotten a few times in the past to save the overall Schedule after making changes, could this be what happened here as well? -
-
Interesting. I've been playing with it for a little while now and not showing the same result.
Can you verify that you had always checked, and end date unchecked, with an end date of yesterday? (if you have an end date of tomorrow, for instance, this means the message would play anyway)
I think the end goal I'm trying to see is if the "always" button overrides all other scheduling in the next menu. -

Just did a quick Jing showing it working here: http://screencast.com/t/vNlLlplYabF6
Maybe it is best to email support@risevision.com with a link to the Schedule.
Thanks -

Hey Neal, thanks for posting that video. However, what I see on my end is different...so I'm curious why.
I did a quick Jing so you can see what I'm seeing: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16353911/Pres...
Any ideas? -

Alex,
What browser and OS are you using? If you are using Chrome, any plugins or anything like that installed? -
-
Hey Robb, using chrome version 16.0.912.77, I believe that's the latest.
I haven't knowingly downloaded any plugins. But when I check, there is a chrome live connect plugin, and a Delicious bookmark plugin.
But would those plugins still affect what happens on my player? -
-
Oh sorry, if I had read more I would have realized this is happening on the actual Display, not just preview. I'll test this out myself on Monday and see if I have the same issue on my Player.
I assume you already have tried but thought I should ask. Have you cleared your cache on your laptop and the Display?
Thanks. -

Alex,
This is working as expected for us, in both UI and Player. I think the reason your Display is having the issue is because something in the UI is not being set right due to this issue, and since it isn't being set right, it is communicating that setting to the Player.
After the recent Chrome upgrade, are you still having the same issue? -
-
Hey Robb, I tested this again today.
It seems to have worked as planned. However, I only tried it on my laptop.
I'll be back in the office next week and will set my demo display up again and see how it reacts. I'll report back after I double check it! -
