How do I remove Rise Vision Player from my Display?

Sometimes you may install the Player on your own computer to see how it works, and then want to uninstall it. Never fear, uninstalling is simple:

Windows:

  1. Press Alt + F4 to close the running browser instance.

  2. Open your Task Manager, end the "RiseVisionPlayer_DisplayID" process.

  3. Delete the Rise Vision Player link from your Start Up folder in your Start Menu

  4. Navigate to this Folder in Windows 7/Vista: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local and delete the rvplayer and Chromium folders.

  5. Navigate to this Folder in Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Application Data and delete the rvplayer and Chromium folders.

Linux:

  1. Press Alt + F4 to close the running browser instance.

  2. Open Terminal, type crontab -r and press Enter.

  3. Go to your Home folder, and from the View menu, choose to show hidden files (or press Ctrl + H).

  4. Delete the rvplayer folder.

  5. Go into the .cache folder, delete the rvplayer folder.

  6. Go into the .config folder, delete the chromium and rvplayer folders.

  7. Delete the rvplayer.log file.

Mac:

  1. Quit the Chromium Browser.

  2. Open Terminal, type crontab -r and press Enter.

  3. Go to System Preferences -> Accounts -> Account running Rise Vision and remove rvplayer.command from the list.

  4. Open Finder and go to your home folder. Delete the rvplayer folder.

  5. Go into Library, then Application Support and delete the Chromium and rvplayer folders.

  6. Go into Library, then caches, and delete the rvplayer folder.

  7. Go into the Preferences folder, and delete the org.chromium.Chromium.plist file.

  8. Empty the trash.
