How do I give a client access to a presentation to manage content updates?
I have created a couple of presentations that I want to allow the client to maintain content updates. How do I add users so that they log into rise vision and only see or interact with the playlists in the appropriate presentations?

Jeff,
The best option would be to create a Client Company for that user, and set them up in that Company. Once you have set them up, you can move that Presentation from your Company to theirs in 2 ways:
- Make it a Template Presentation in your Company, and create a Presentation from that Template in their Company.
- Go into the HTML of the Presentation and copy it all, create a new Presentation in their Company, go into the HTML and paste
Once you are done that, they now have a copy of that Presentation in their Company, and they can do whatever they need to do.
If instead you want users to only have access to only certain items in a Presentation, that can be done via embedding the Presentation that is in THEIR Company, into a Presentation in YOUR Company. This way they can see the entire Presentation playing, but they can only change the items in the embedded Presentation that you have embedded into the main one.
More information about creating companies can be found here, and embedding Presentations can be found here.
I hope that helps, let us know if you have any other questions. -

Awesome info Robb. Thanks.
OK, I did something last night that has me stuck. I had tried to create a company last night before getting your answer. I created one called "convoctr" and created a gmail account called convoctr@gmail.com so that I could connect to the risevision.com site. No presentations showed up as I now understand.
Problem is now when I try to log into my normal account, it goes straight into the convoctr account. Or, if I sometimes am able to log into my normal account, there's no way for me to get to the convoctr account. I tried to use the "Switch" companies next to the name, but I always get an error when trying to pull up the other company name.
Hep me hep me. -

OK, here is what I found.
I couldn't find a Company called "convoctr", but I did find a company called "convoctr@gmail.com's Company" with that user. I renamed it to "Convoctr" and put that Company under your Network Operator Company.
Let me know if you can see them when you switch Companies now.
Thanks!- view 12 more comments

I have the "Show Turtorial" turned off. BTW, I had the banner area set to white, and now links to Rise Vision presentaitons, etc. are popping up in that area. What gives?

Jeff,
Companies that are directly under Rise Vision will see our Banner. That is why you are seeing our banner. Clients under your company will see the banner you have set. What you are seeing is normal. -

If you are going to be using a second gmail account (convoctr@gmail.com), I would recommend opening a separate "incognito" browser window to log in with those credentials, while logging in with your own in a regular browser instance.
Let us know how you make out. -

New glitch - I just tried to add a youtube gadget to the presentation. I used the youtube link for sharing the video as the URL in the gadget, and set it to 30 sec to keep in time with the other placeholders changing content.
The youtube video doesn't show up on the screen - just a white are (background is white).
Here is the link to the youtube video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwfrBb...
Hep me hep me. -

One other thing - can you add a setting on the Add>Video to allow us to set the duration of play? The Flash gadget allows the duration to be specified in second or until done. Thanks.

That is the wrong link to use in the Youtube Gadget. As per the help file, the Youtube Gadget requires the video ID, which from your link is this:
gwfrBbNo5Jg
Put that into the Youtube Gadget in your Presentation and it should play fine.
We actually had the ability to have the play duration with the Video Gadget which has since been retired, but the feedback was that most people did not want it, and any video they added they wanted to play until done. Also not playing a video completely will not allow it to download to the cache properly, which will result in a lot of wasted bandwidth being chewed up by downloading only a fraction of the file. You may want to add that as an idea and see if there are any new users who agree with that addition.
Thanks! -
