When will the final full release ship?

Our criteria for taking off the Beta sticker is based upon making the sign up process really simple and including enough sample content for users to easily get started and most importantly share their content with others through a much improved preview function. In other words for us to say we are no longer beta we have to be comfortable that we made the product dead simple for someone to come along and get started. We don't believe we have that yet and we don't want anyone who signs up now getting the wrong impression of the product because of it. For these reasons we are choosing to leave the Beta sticker on. Basically it is our way of saying we're not quite done yet so please expect a few bumps when checking us out.

Now having said the above we have dedicated January and February to working just on content and functionality to support that process. If all goes well we will be out of Beta by end of February. Please note - "if all goes well". The user sign up experience is subjective and if we subjectively feel that it isn't good enough we will continue working on it and leave the beta sticker on. Sorry about having to hold the caveat.

One further point. We have decided not to work on our billing systems. Instead we are going to put all efforts into continual improvements to the platform and as such it is very likely that we will continue to offer the product for free even after the beta sticker comes off. Once we have enough functionality across the board we will then dedicate resources to our subscription billing system.

I realize that I didn't directly answer your request for a best, worst and most-likely estimate so please don't hesitate to probe further if there are more details you need to know. I will tell you exactly what I know. Promise.

Just an update for anyone who hasn't noticed already, we are indeed out of beta now. As Byron states above, we decided to not work on the billing system while we were getting everything fully functional.
