Why is the Display resolution changing on my monitor?

I have 1920x1080 presentation. Seems to work well on the screen for a while. But then every so often the resolution changes and blows up the presentation so that you only see the top corner. We have changed the settings on the video card drivers to 1920x1080, we have changed the display resolution to 1920x1080...but this keeps happening. I thought it was a duration issue, since I only have one presentation created (as if, every time it restarts it resets the resolution)...so I changed the duration to 60. Seemed to work fine. Then when I got to work this morning, the presentation was blown up on the display again. Do you have any suggestions?

    happy I’m trying to help.
Just to verify, the following are set to 1920x1080, correct?

    -Video Card Driver
-Display Setting in the Rise console
-Presentation Settings in the Rise console

Out of curiosity, what is the native resolution of the display screen?
In the Display settings in the Rise console, is the display set to restart? I would set it to restart (at an upcoming time) and watch it to see what happens.

The Display resolution in the Display settings in the Rise Vision Platform is for list purposes only. It has no bearing on the physical Display or the Presentation.

I'm thinking that Jeff is right, I have seen this myself happen when the Display's native resolution is not what you have set in the Windows settings. This used to happen ALL the time with one of my much older NEC screens. When the Display would restart, hibernate or go into sleep mode, the Display would always come up with the wrong resolution.

My recommendation to test out this theory would be to plug the Display into another monitor that has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 and leave it running for 24 hours.. If the same happens, it may be the video card or driver on the computer, but if the resolution stays where it should be, it sounds like it is the monitor.

Let us know how you make out.

    Thanks!

Thanks! I will give this a try and report back! For now we have put a shortcut on the display machine which I can hit ctrl+alt+D and it sets the resolutions. But this is sort of a pain!
