The Youtube gadget has a neat feature of being able to play a video for a certain duration...move on to the next gadget...then pick up on the video where it left off.
It'd be great to see this in the shiny new video gadget!

Alex,
This is a very similar request to one that Derek brought up today here.
In order to cache correctly on the Display, the video item does not have a duration option, and only supports play until done. It also does not support carry on functionality, which I'm pretty sure is what you are referring to above.
Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. -

Hi,
I have the exact opposite problem.
The videos in my VideoGadget play only for the duration set in the schedule.
And..(to add another related issue) if I set the duration to the actual length of the movieclip and the timeline is set to somewhere in the future - i get a blank white screen for the duration of that movieclip.
Help..? -

Hi there,
I'm not following exactly what you mean, when you say "they only play for the duration set in the schedule", why would you want them to play at a time where they are not scheduled to play?
To clarify your second point, do you mean that you add a video to your Playlist, set that video to play in the future, and and while the Presentation is playing, there is a blank white screen until the time arrives to play the video? Or when the time arrives to play the video, instead of playing the video, you get a white screen?
If you can clarify those, we can see if we can recreate the issue.
Thanks! -
